It's not about being emotional.
Don't you find the silence surrounding withdrawal reassuring? I certainly do.
Withdrawal in terms of Communication studies (I have a test tomorrow, this is my form of refreshing) means setting a barrier between oneself and other people or activities. It's not about the need for relaxing, stimulating the mind or having an outlet of emotional release. It's about creating a buffer zone. It's about the need to set a boulder to separate two different entities; yourself and everyone else. My kind of free therapy! Honestly, nobody likes being around people all the damn time.
I find it completely necessary to sit down in my bedroom with one dim ass light on with the saddest songs possible humming through my earphones at a volume loud enough to drown out any form of sound out. It's an escape thats never really stimulated by anything sad, disappointed or frustrated. I just always have this little void in my head that needs to be filled up every other day with messy thoughts splurting out over semi depressing lyrics.
Because honestly, nothing gives me more clarity than taking the time to lay out tangled strings of uncertainty just to free the knots.
On a side note, you have no idea how much I regret not paying enough attention to Giriboy when he passes through my playlists. His new release has me sold.
MY FEELINGS ARE BEING PLAYED WITH AND WRECKED.
